NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Memo to bosses around the country: Thursday may not be a banner day for productivity. Especially between noon and, say, 2 p.m.

That’s when the U.S. will be taking on Germany with a chance to advance to the knockout stage of the World Cup.

Jurgen Klinsmann, coach of the U.S. Men’s National Team, knows fans will have their heads in the game, not in their jobs. So he’s giving America’s workforce permission to take a day off.
